Leaves of Three

Let it Be
Leaves of Five
Let it Thrive

I had never heard this little poem before moving to Virginia, much less have any knowledge as to what was exactly Virginia Creeper.

I knew all about Poison Ivy which has those cute little reddish, shiny leaves on a vine with their larger bright green neighbors. With those, I knew to keep clear since my dad and brother are highly allergic. And my skin doesn't take too kindly to any of the poisonous leaves, poison ivy, poison oak, poison sumac, all of which thrive hardily in Oklahoma.

With that in mind, enjoy the tragic cartoon.

  2. Hehe...what's even worse, is when one accidentally GRABS those "leaves of three" for toilet paper when in the high Cascades. Not that I'd know anything about that, however! LOL

  3. I'm thoroughly enjoying the mosquitos, gnats, horse flies, and the regular family of skunks that pass through our property at night and SPRAY (once a week.)

    Ah, summer.......
