Who knows what will happen? I'm on SSDI which is not not enough to support ME in an apt. much less in a house.

Spousal will be mandatory in my case but...this is a scary place to be.Have Myelin?https://www.blogger.com/profile/15180457748501693989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3500936220214961312.post-17982610627630241522008-09-25T16:15:00.000-04:002008-09-25T16:15:00.000-04:00We were pretty lucky during the "really lean" year...We were pretty lucky during the "really lean" years (pretty much the past 5 years.) Our parents and extended relatives helped us a little (very humbling experience), and we pretty much bought no new clothes, no extras, we went nowhere over night or on vacation(unless it was to relatives or friends, etc.) I think we're still in "starvation mode", although things have gotten slightly better recently, due to social security benefits.

We bought with a fixed-rate mortgage (very low interest rate.) Our mortgage is somewhat high, but our house is quite small and the area we live in is one of the cheaper areas in the state.

Maybe I should be telling all of this to Heather! Thanks for the link, Lisa. I'll look for your "Momentum" article soon. I'm gonna be in this month's "New Mobility", talking about my social security disability case.Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17421022098477662697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3500936220214961312.post-44622636581941409922008-09-25T14:05:00.000-04:002008-09-25T14:05:00.000-04:00Interesting. A subject I hadn't thought about. I'm...Interesting. A subject I hadn't thought about. I'm fortunate enough to have a husband who takes good care of us financially but I'm sure there are so many others who are having trouble with their mortgage due to medical bills. Having been a single mom and poor for a few years prior to my marriage I can empathize with all those people and how trying it can be to be unable to pay bills.Miss Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11731458343222525114noreply@blogger.com
