I may be a little over-the-top with my hand washing, but if that is what it takes to not get sick, I am quite ok with itAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17588561210398811122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3500936220214961312.post-51994855628768556542013-02-03T15:12:36.420-05:002013-02-03T15:12:36.420-05:00There is one more zero-cost, zero-adverse-side-eff...There is one more zero-cost, zero-adverse-side-effect, easy-enough-for-anyone-to-do-it measure all of us can take, M.S. or not:

Wash your [damn] hands.

Years ago on 60 Minutes, some soft of Famous Doctor said "Want to know what are the ten most prevalent factors that spread disease?" He holds up both hands and wiggles his fingers. "Here they are."

Don't waste your time/money on those "antiseptic" hand creams. My MD tells me they're not bacteriocidal, they're bacteriostatic, which means they stop the bugs from breeding but don't kill them, and they leave them on your hands. Alive. You wanna actually kill the bugs, you gotta use clorox, or betadine, or something else that's chemically nasty and probably stain-producing. Or, you can just wash your [damn] hands.

Sing "Happy Birthday" twice to make sure you take long enough in the washing process. Me, I sing "Happy Birthday" to my favorite person in the world: My wife. Which makes me feel warm and cuddly inside. And feeling good is also good for all of us, M.S. or no.Robert Parkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00861491569742630629noreply@blogger.com
