Pharma Needs to Think Carefully How They Wish to Interact with Patients

Just discovered that my Pecha Kucha presentation given at the e-Patient Connections conference in Philadelphia last September 2010 was indeed posted online. Thanks Kevin Kru.

The title of the talk was "Through the Looking Glass - A Patient's View of Interacting with Pharma." It was given in a very organized fashion. Only 20 slides which were each displayed for 20 seconds. At the end of the last slide, the presentation was complete.

Gotta admit - doesn't look/sound too shabby.

  1. Lisa - nice presentation. I don't attend any more free dinner/physician presentations. I leave feeling so used. My own doctor spends many evenings selling drugs that I've recently stopped injecting. I eat well, exercise, sleep well and wait for something without scary side-effects that I can feel good about taking.

  3. Thanks Karen and Muff,

It is good to see the presentation again. I haven't really had much more response from it. However, I just got an email from a conference organizer who has offered an opportunity in October.

He just wants 3-6 bullet points of what I would present. Odd, I haven't even pitched any ideas to him. This was out of the blue. I'll have to think about it.

You know, I haven't been to one of those dinner/presentations in a very long time. There is one coming up next week which involves my neurologist and my physical therapist (who is absolutely amazing). I may go to this one since it's literally about 3 miles from my house. I'll be curious to see how much of a presence the supporting company has.

  4. Very impressive, Lisa. You carried your distinctive authentic voice into the presentation and you made all the important points. Thank you for being such an effective spokesperson.
